I regret having bought a new laptop with Vista preloaded - I hate Vista
because it hates all my non MS software which is much better than anything
MS has to offer.

I especially hate the mail program.

I can't see the raw headers - essential for forwarding messages when
reporting phishing or abuse or spam.

If I click on 'Delete Message' then I want the message to be deleted - I
should be able to disable those stupid messages that keep asking me if I'm
sure. Why wouldn't I be if I clicked on delete? Why isn't there a setting
to disable those stupid time wasting messages?

The options available for handling messages are next to nil. I want to be
able to append the body of some messages to a text file for parsing then
importing into a database. I used to do this with Pegasus but Norton keeps
deleting the exe file. I was able to do it with Outlook 2000 but Vista
objects to Outlook 2000. I refuse to buy an alternate MS mail program so
what are my options?

CTRL-F3 will show the message source on an open mesasge in WinMail just as
it always did in OE.

If you didn't have the deletion confirmation messages then you would
complain that you deleted stuff that you didn't mean to.

If you wish to persist in using WinMail, then you should uninstall Norton.
See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

Thanks for the Ctrl-F3 tip. I've always preferred keyboard to mouse but not
being an OE user didn't know that one.

There are lots of free email clients capable of running on Vista.
Just pick one of your choice.
