Windows Mail, want to use MSN as my default.

I hate windows mail. I have never used it and I hate change.
Is there any way i can set my MSN software as my default Email program? I
dont want Windows Mail to open up each time I click a "Mailto" link online,
but I dont seem to be able to pick it as an option when setting program
defaults. Any ideas?
Perhaps Windows Mail is not too bad and I just need to set it up?
 
You can remove access to the windows mail program.

Control panel
Programs
Default programs
Set program access and computer defaults
select custom and expand list (right edge, double down chevron)
uncheck 'enable access to this program for windows mail under default
e-mail program'

Windows Mail does not get along with MSN, needs pop3/imap service which MSN
does not provide.

This is one of the bad aspects of web mail.
The MAILTO protocol was designed to work with an email client
program, not with a browser.
