Windows Mail versus Outlook

When I setup my new Vista computer, I automatically setup Outlook without
realizing there was a Windows Mail. Anyways, I had someone setup some
accounts for me from my company and they set them up in Windows Mail. Now I
have accounts in both Outlook and Windows Mail and they do not synchronize.
Should I delete my Outlook accounts and only use Windows Mail or will there
be no problem using both? This is confusing. I wish they would have used
one or the other in this package. Or, with others experience, use only
Outlook. I feel like I am confusing my computer as much as I am confused.

Windows Mail is similar to Outlook Express.

Have you used Outlook before?
I would delete the accounts from Windows Mail and use Outlook.
If you have a personal account, you could leave it in Windows Mail.

Assuming your Outlook is version 2003 or later, it will be more stable
and dependable than Windows Mail. Since you have Outlook
experience, it is best to stay with it. I know you can export WM
accounts in .IAF files, but I'm not sure if Outlook will import those.
Perhaps we can have an Outlook expert chime in on this.

I have only used Outlook. I have never used Express. But, I see what your
saying...is keep Outlook for business and Windows Mail for personnel. So,
having the two accounts will not make my computer "bump into the night?"

Yes, Outlook 2003 will import an OE/WM .IAF file.
