Has anyone had any issues installing outlook to upgrade from windows mail?
Does it capture and transfer contacts etc from mail to outlook?

yes it would be - I have not done it yet - am considering buying outlook but
I want to be sure there are no issues before I updgrade

there is no upgrade for windows mail but you could go to walmart and buy
office 2007 and it would have the outlook on it

Outlook 2007 is available separately. Most Wal-Mart's locally don't carry
anything but the Home and Student version which doesn't have Outlook
included. You would need at least Office 2007. If you are in Australia,
you can probably find it in a local Software outlet.

I went on the walmart.com and there is the office 2007 standerd and it
includes outlook

Good to hear. My local one only caries Home and Student which doesn't have
Outlook.

It is not an upgrade; completely different programs.

Outlook 2003 and above is vista compatible.
Earlier versions are too, except for saving passwords.

You can export messages and contact from Windows Mail to a file on the
desktop, then import them into Outlook.

Harvey Norman is probably the cheapest, with a sale on, lol.
