Hi,

I have few emails in Windows mail.
now i would like to export them to my MS Outlook.

how can i do it ?

Thanks
Raghavendra

Note that you must have Outlook 2003 installed and functional on the machine
used to do the transfer or you will receive a MAPI error. Windows Mail,
like Outlook Express, requires Outlook's "plumbing" in order to access the
Outlook Personal Folders (.PST) file.

Sorry to revive an older thread - but...

I also wish to revert back from Windows Mail that comes with Vista to
Outlook 2003. (Windows mail and calander just don't do Blackberry!)

I have Office 2003 (including Outlook) installed on the same Vista maching
as Windows Mail and when I Go to export to Exchange... all I get is the Mapi
initialization error! It's very frustrating!

I have seen a lot of posts all over the net with this problem but nobody
seems to have the solution. I keep hearing that Windows Mail cannot find
Outlook's "plumbing" - but I even placed the outlook install directory in the
path to no avail...

Has anyone got a solution to solve this please?

I'd try uninstalling Outlook 2003 and re-install.
And get all of the Office updates.

Thanks Dave - I know your right - it's just not the answer I was hoping for -
I was really wishing to avoid having to do this:-)

Thanks as well Frank - but my problem is Vista's Microsoft Mail giving me
the error - not outlook - (it is MS MAIL that I want to Export FROM) so I
think this newsgroup is more applicable...

Do you have an Outlook Data File (otherwise known as Personal Folders or a
..PST file) configured for Outlook?
