Windows Mail is so slow it locks up my computer and I have to use the On/OFF
button and reboot to get computer back. It is also bogging down the rest of
computer operations, it only took two minutes for this screen to appear. Any
help? Computer working just fine yesterday. Really hate Vista, much slower
than XP even on a good day. If able, can you respond to (e-mail address removed),
otherwise I'll never see your reply? It took me 20 minutes to load pages
just to get to this board.

Most of the frequent responders in this newsgroup make it a policy never to
respond by email.

How much RAM memory does your computer have? Vista often takes 2 GB
or more to run at full speed, but computers designed for XP and even the
cheaper new computers designed for Vista often came with less.

I've seen this recommended for Windows Mail speed problems:

I had this problem and I solved it by uninstalling Kaspersky. I used the free AVG anti-virus instead and now Windows Mail opens almost instantly instead of the long period of time it took before.

I started a message here awhile back and I guess I asked it to send me
replies, but now my inbox is stuffed and I don't know how I got this started
actually, and I especially don't know how to change it back to not receiving
all the posts on the subject. Any help?
