Windows mail sending problems

Hi there, please help. Have Vista home premium and have set up windows mail
to manage my emails. I have entered the correct details for incoming and out
going servers and have checked that outgoing mail need authentication but
still get this error message when i try to send mail-

'The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Jaggard global', Account:
'mail.emirates.net.ae', Server: 'mail.emirates.net.ae', Protocol: SMTP, Port:
25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E'

I use mozilla firefox and not internet explorer.

Thanks for any suggestions
 
Is emirates.net.ae your home ISP, and were you at home when
you got that error message? Port 25 SMTP is often a problem when
used away from one's usual ISP connection.

If yes to both questions, tell us which antivirus program you are
using.
