Hi - What happened to the Right Click option to delete a single newsgroup
post?

That feature alone is what made Outlook Express so much better than any
other newsgroup readers I used including Thunderbird and a couple available
in Suse Linux whose names I can't remember at this moment.

Question: Is there some way to enable the Right Click to Delete option?

Thanks

Joe

Thunderbird uses Unsubscribe and you can't selectively delete posts because
the messages are actually kept on the server. It seems like that's a
holdover from the 6800 baud days.

Microsoft really needs to add that delete function back in Windows Mail.
They don't have to make Outlook Express like Thunderbird. IMO Outlook
Express is much better and I've used both, although I've only used
Thunderbird in Linux. I wouldn't install it on my Windows OSs. It simply
is not as good as Outlook Express.

Of course, you can't say that on any Linux or Thunderbird newsgroups. You'd
be skinned alive - :D

Try adding other news servers - You will be pleasantly surprised!
As to the "Unsubscribe", that is to remove an entire newsgroup or server,
rather than an individual post.
To delete an individual post, either click on the red "X" on the toolbar, or
chose delete from the "edit" drop-down menu.

Hope this helps!

Jerry, as I said windows mail only works with ms news server. it is a known
bug that when trying to download groups list for any server other then the
ms one it craps out everytime.
