I understand Windows Mail is being discontinued. That might be
a wrong interpretation.
I've since Installed Windows Live Mail and have had nothing but problems
with it.
My question is:

How long will users be able to use Windows Mail?

Will there come a time when we won't be able to use it at all?

I prefer Windows Mail much more than Windows Live Mail and would like to
continue to use
it at least until they straiten out all the problems with WLM. And I know
the problem(s) lie with WLM 'cause I can run WM and and it's like night and
day.

Thanks,
James

Windows Mail is not being discontinued. However, it will only work
with Vista. The newer Windows 7 doesn't support Windows Mail.
You can continue to use Windows Mail for as long as Microsoft
supports Vista. However, if your Vista computer breaks down
tonight, you may have to get a Windows 7 computer soon. If that
possibility is on the horizon for you, then it may be prudent to get
Windows Live Mail working correctly for you now.

I run both WM and WLM and have virtually no problems with either.
Have you asked for help with your WLM issues in the
WLM newsgroup?

I have a couple post there. They're probably getting tired
of here me cry.

It's slow, it locks up, it's dificult to make anything out.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled it 3 tiems.

Sorry to hear that WLM is slow for you.
If you only use it for email, I suggest you go into the accounts and
remove any Newsgroup and Directory accounts.
I only use it for email.

I find that Windows Mail is faster for newsgroups, which is why
I use Windows Live Mail only for email.
Windows Live Mail is admittedly show at transitioning between its
mail mode and newsgroups mode.

I just get a bit frustrated at times.
I believe WLM is better now than it was when I first installed it.

Thanks much for the info on WM.
James
