I have Vista operating system and all was well with Windows Mail, then
suddenly I can't send out email anymore. System says The host SMPT could not
be found. "Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.
Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D. Does anyone know how to fix
this?

SMPT is not a valid server name. The correct server names depend on which
email provider you are trying to connect to, so ask them for their
instructions
on how to set up a connection to their mail servers. Many people choose
their
internet providers as their email providers also, since most internet
accounts
include one or more email accounts. If they haven't written instructions
for
Windows Mail yet, their instructions for Outlook Express will probably work
under Windows Mail also if they don't call for the HTTP protocol. The
instructions are probably somewhere on their web site. Or, you could tell
us who your email provider is and see if anyone here already knows where to
find their instructions.
