Hi, dlrogue.
HOW do you "either go into hibernate or shut down"?
Someone asked today about the difference between Exiting WM (or WLM) before
shutting down, versus just hitting the Shut Down switch without closing WM
first. Maybe you've discovered one of the differences. :^{
When WM aborts for some reason, it does not get a chance to update its
indexes and other internal housekeeping. When it starts again, you may find
that messages you've already read are again marked Unread, and there may be
other anomalies - such as rules that haven't yet been filed permanently.
Next time you create the rules, exit WM before hibernating or shutting down,
and then restart it and see if your rules are still in place.
And please post back with your findings so that we will know what to tell
the next person who asks the same question. (In a newsgroup, we are the
student today, the teacher tomorrow. We all learn from each other. ;<) )
