I access my email from Windows email (Vista machine) and from my 2nd computer
using outlook. My older computer with outlook displayed many more emails than
did the Windows email product, i.e. I'm not getting all my emails with the
Windows email program. Any suggestions?

What are your settings for Junk Mail?
Are you reviewing it for any real mail that Windows Mail thought was junk?
The junk mail filter usually needs some tweaking.

POP3 or IMAP? If POP3, do you have one (or both) of the clients (Windows
Mail / Outlook) configured to automatically delete messages from the server
after retrieving? It *is* the default for both clients and would mean that
whichever client happened to grab an incoming mail first would delete it
from the server and the other client would therefore never see it.

I believe this is exactly what's happening to my e-mail situation. I did a
test e-mail and went to my Windows Mail Vista account and pressed
send/receive and finally received my first e-mail. It did not go through to
my Outlook account on my desktop at all. What settings do I need to envoke
to ensure that I will receive e-mails on each computer?

Email accounts configured with common defaults will delete mail
from the server after downloading it. So when one computer
downloads an email first, that prevents the other computer from
downloading the same email from that account.

In order for both computers to have access to all emails,
make the following account change on both computers:
Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties, Advanced,
near the bottom of that screen select "Leave a copy of messages
on server." You must also select one of the two "Remove..."
options, otherwise mail piles up on the server until your
server storage quota is exceeded.
