You are nowhere near to having the correct att server name, start here and
look for mail settings.

Opps,
maybe I spoke too soon because I received an email message through
windows mail. However, when I tried to
email myself a picture of my mother's front porch; I received this error
message. The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account:
'pop.att.yahoo.com', Server: 'smtp.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E I have
no idea why it's receiving messages but not sending them.

Go to tools menu>accounts>select your att account>Properties>Advanced Tab
Make the following changes:

1. Change the SMTP port to 465 and check the option labeled Use an encrypted
connection (SSL).

2. Change the POP3 port to 995 and check the option labeled Use an encrypted
connection (SSL).

Then Apply>OK.

Remove any unsent mail from the Outbox and try to send another one.

Post any error message that you get.

Your port number and SSL settings are incorrect.
To get to those settings:
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced,
then select the SSL option (two places). Change port 25 to 465,
and make sure the incoming port is 995.
