Windows Mail, major issue

I've been reading all the problems with Norton/email scanning with Windows
Mail.
I have been getting the password/log on user name invalid message now for 2
days.
The screen pops up and and asks me to reenter all my info- then says it is
invaild.

So, I did what was suggested. I have uninstalled Norton from my system
I went to the tutorial site and followed how to back up my email, then go to
the folder and delete everthing to restart Windows with a clean slate,
restarting Windows, tried to add my account again---- and the same issue
comes up.

I have another computer that is on this network that has Outlook 2000. I
disabled one of my email accounts on that computer to use on my lap top.
I went back to that computer ( which does not have Norton) and enabled the
same email account, and go the same error- it will not recognize my user name
or password-- and this is another computer running XP ( same email account)

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS WRONG? I have had this new computer Vista, for 4 weeks
and I cannot beleive I have this many problems without email for days-- I
make a living off email and my compuer!! Help! please!
 
If you get the same error on the XP computer as you do on the Vista
computer, I don't see how you can blame Vista.
