Help! I have a new computer with Windows Vista. Every time I try to check
my emails by waking up the computer and opening windows mail; the computer
freezes up while it is trying to upload messages. This has been happening 3
or 4 times a day. They only way to get the messages is to restart the
computer and that is getting really old. Can anyone out there help? Is there
a fix available?

One thing to consider is antivirus software.
Some, Norton and McAfee for instance, are incompatible
and have unpredictable effects on Windows Mail.

Are you another of their victims?

I have been trying to use win mail for somtime now but each time i receive a
massge that 'error that it cannot locate the server. pls. tell me what to do
in this case.

The short answer is that you need to configure your mail account
using the directions from your ISP or mail provider.
Who is your ISP or mail provider?

Right-click on the error message, copy, then paste it into
a reply here. Then I will be able to give you more specific help.

My mail provider is Charter. There is not an error message. It simply locks
up and stays that way until I reboot the computer.
