Windows Mail issues

In my previous email program of choice, Outlook Express, I used to be
able to select the "to" function within the email message template and
see a display of contacts that included the FOLDERS. In Windows
Mail, the same action calls up ALL the contacts and NO folders.
ALthough I can select multiple contacts from the Windows Contacts
folder and through "action", install them in the "To" pane of an email
message, I cannot jump from folder to folder to, for example, select
contacts within another folder whom I wish to CC on the same message.
The "Action" sequence always generates a new email template, posting
any selected contact or contacts to the "To" pane.

I do not wish to create GROUPS and then go through the convoluted
process of calling up the group in the "To" pane, and then deleting
the ones I don't want.

Needless to say, this feature was critical to my email flow and
organization. Am I missing something? I have checked every forum and
group I can. Others report the same issue without resolution. One
forum individual said, "That's the way Windows Mail is".

Am I missing something? Has anyone else noticed this. HAs anyone
found a solution or trick or alternative.

Unfortunately, that's the way Windows Mail is.
Windows Live Mail is similar in that regard, but (unlike WM) it lets you
select groups from the To line, and you can delete group members on
the To line.

Hello,
I am getting another error now:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Read: Orale! Te amo!', Account: 'Kopali Organics',
Server: 'secure.emailsrvr.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

My internet connection is fine.
Thank you!

Assuming your provider told you to use port 465. However, port 465
requites the SSL option to be enabled, which you haven't done.

Ok, I tried enabling the SSL option and got this message:

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject 'prueba',

Looks like it's now rejecting the address you're sending from. Have you
been accused of sending spam or other unwanted messages? Are you
using the correct password for that account?

You're getting farther than before.
Kopali.com is hosted by Rackspace, who also operates the
secure.emailsrvr.com mail server. The only published setup information
I could find is here: http://www.d3corp.com/pdf/Outlook-2003-Setup.pdf
Make sure "My server requires authentication" is enabled.
If that doesn't fix the problem, contact tech support for your hosting provider
(Rackspace).
