I installed Vista Ultimate and finally was able to open windows Mail, which
seems to have replaced Internet Explorer (Is that correct)?

It still has my favorite Newsgroup lists, the ones that I had in Windows XP
before upgrading to Vista.

Question: How do I put this Windows Mail wiindow which has my favorite
Newsgroups in my desktop for easy access?

Thanks in advance.

Windows Mail replaced Outlook Express, not Internet Explorer.

1. Right-click on the Desktop and select New > Shortcut
2. Type or copy and paste: "C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe"
3. Click Next and Finish and a Windows Mail icon will appear on the Desktop.

It replaced Outlook Express. Click the Start Orb, if Windows Mail is at the
top of the list right click, drag to the desktop, release and click Create
shortcut here. Or if it's not pinned at the top of the list type Mail, then
right click and choose Add to Quick Launch to put it on the Quick Launch
toolbar, or right click drag to desktop.

Thanks CArey
Any good readable book has been published on "Ultimate" that I can consider?

locate the Windows Mail in the Stat Menu and drag it to the desktop, then select COPY from the pop up menu.

Win Mail replaced a component of Internet Explorer called Outlook Express.
It uses a different mail format. It automatically configures NNTP
newsgroups by checking MSFT Groups for those to lazy to use a 10 second
wizard (and there were millions of those). If you want to put a shortcut on
the desktop you can hold down right mouse and drag to desktop and click
"copy." But to bring it up, all you have to do is type msimn in the run box
(windows key +R).

What I do to save steps is to put a combination address bar + run box into
my taskbar:

Rt. Click Taskbar>Toolbars>Address>Unlock taskbar>hold mouse down over
"seam" to left of the word Address on your task bar and like a sliding door
it will reval this combination. Then simply type your command into it.
You can reach scores of programs and utilites in Vista if you know the
commands. For Winmail, it's msimn.
