I hope that MS will get some of the folk of the Windows Live Mail effort and
back to fixing up Windows Mail.
IMHO, It is just barely ready for prime time.
The one item on my punch list that I have mentioned before is one that I
would not find acceptable in a freshman comp sci project!
When I do bulk operations on the message list, deletes, or moves, or empty
recycle bin, the amount of flutter and jitter and ultimately unpainted
messages are unacceptable. The fact that messages are left unpainted on the
list is a show stopper IMHO. The flutter and jitter are of concern under
ADA. This could presumably be due to a drivers issue, but so what. It's
still MS's job to get it right.
Someone left out the two lines of code needed to prevent this. (That's all
it would take in Framework!)
I work very hard to keep this from happening in my code. I wish MS worked as
hard![Smile :-) :-)](/styles/default/custom/smilies/smile.gif)
MS LURKERS: If you want details holler.
Regards,
Al Christoph
