windows mail/ how to set up

hi, im trying to up windows email account, i'm abit green at all this tech
stuff!.. where would i find p0p3 server info in and out for the set up of my
email. please help. claire.

Hi Clare, who is your internet service provider?
 
Check with your email provider...
Is it Comcast, Roadrunner, AOL, etc?
They should have a webpage with the server settings required.

If it's Hotmail, it won't work with Windows Mail.

First stop for such info would be your ISP (Internet Service Provider)
web pages, Email help/support, or possibly any documentation that
arrived with your disk,modem,router. Failing that phone them and ask
for POP & SMPT servers and their valid ports.

Who is your ISP?

I am not able to send and received mail from windows mailbox?
I am from India. My Opreating system for my laptop is windows Vista, In this
windows mail ,I open my new account for mail. i entered my yahoo mail
details - Incoming sever name-pop.mail.yahoo.com and port no-110 & out going
server smtp.mail.yahoo.com and port no-587 . But not able to get service. I
got error no-0x800CCC18. So Pl advice me how to rectify this problem.
