My windows mail will sporadically freeze up. For instance, when I click on
an email it will freeze and the email will start to open but will be blank.
Then everything is frozed, and I have to close it. Any suggestions? Thanks
for any input.

My problem isn't quite identical, but very similar. Off and on throughout
the day, when I attempt to forward, reply or just double click on an email,
it opens a window for the message that is just the graphic for the window
"frame". There is no visible text and usually I can see through to whatever
is behind it, as if there is a refresh problem? Or sometimes the window is
filled with black and I am still unable to respond to or forward any
messages. I have tried restarting my system many times, but it doesn't seem
to help. I have McAfee antivirus running on a new Toshiba system running
Vista. Thanks, I appreciate any help.

This problem is probably caused by your McAfee antivirus.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or
Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see
