I just bought a laptop with windows vista and this windows mail is not
working! I have peoplepc on my pc and it uses outlook express which I like. I
have downloaded my peoplepc to this laptop but the only email was windows
mail. Can I get my outlook express on my laptop or has windows mail taken the
place of outlook express? I could get emails at first but not send any, now I
can't get windows mail to start without an error saying something about pop3
and error 0x800 ccc90 and 0x800 ccc18. Basically my question is how do I get
rid of this windows mail that won't work and get my outlook express on here?
Or will that mess up my whole system (I am computer illiterate!).

Outlook Express is part of previous Windows system (e.g. XP).
Windows Mail is part of Vista.
You cannot have Outlook express on a Vista.

Outlook Express has been replaced with Windows Mail.
OE cannot be installed on Vista.

You need to enter your correct email settings in Windows Mail.

Sorry, I mean I put the people pc disk in to load it on my new laptop since I
subscribe to peoplepc. I said I was computer illiterate, smile. I saw
another post on here saying that someone's problem could be because they
have McAfee. This came already loaded on my laptop and I hate it so on
another day (before I posted my help message today) I went to control panel
and then uninstall programs and thought I removed it but it's still coming on
and it's still listed in programs along with that stupid pink M icon in the
bar at the bottom (task bar?). Could this also be my problem with windows
mail? If so then how do I uninstall it? Thanks for any help you can offer.
