how do i prevent all names showing when i click 'to' when sending message? i
only want the folders to display.

I have created an address book with folders such as 'family', 'business' etc
with contacts in each separate folder.

When I want to create 'new mail' and click on the 'to' button to choose who
to send it to, 'all' the names appear that I have in each folder.

What I wanted was to only see the folders and then choose the contacts I
want from my chosen folder.

Thanks

You can't.

You can create folders for the contacts, but Windows Mail will not show
them when you click on To:, CC: or BCC:

However, you can do it bassackwards if you have folders... open your
Contacts folder, open your sub-folder, select your recipient(s),
right-click, select Action - Send Email

and, you can create Groups, which are mail lists of selected contacts.

Create a new Group containing those contacts then put the Group name in the
TO (or BCC) field.

Hi PA Bear,
I posted the same problem above (Bubey).
I don't always send an e-mail to all my friends. I pick and choose who to
send
it to each time. It seems with this Windows Mail that we can't do that.
Isn't there
a workaround so it will work more like OE6 where the user could control the
program?
Thanks ! P.S. Take a look at my posting, I still can't get my OE mail &
folders into
Windows Mail.
