Can anyone tell me how to make the contacts appear the same as in OE listed
down the left hand side of the page under 'Local Folders'? It's so annoying
to have to open the contact fold to try and find an email addy to send
to.....HELP! Thanks.

No, you can't have contacts arranged the way they were in OE.

But you don't have to open Contacts to find a recipient.
Just click on Create Mail, then when the compose window opens,
click on 'To' and select the recipients.

I am so disappointed in this. I am lost without those contacts down the left
side of the page....thank you for responding..

It's just a different way of working.
You'll get used to it. Trust me.

Could I ask a related question as a newcomer to Vista (of three days!)
On OE I had various lists of contacts but had an important to me and
frequently used "Key Contacts" list.
I sorted out all my contacts into different folders but when I go to send an
email and click on the "To" window of compose the whole list of contacts
comes up alphabetically. Is ther any way to change this to different folders
or to incorporate the folders in some manner.
I am not in my first flush of youth and my son came home at the weekend to
transfer all my data from XP to Vista. I have already asked him a number of
questions so thought I would try this forum. In any answer please bear in
mind my lack of technical skills!
Many thanks
