can't seem to transfer my outlook express contacts from my old xp machine
into window mail with vista. i used the transfer file utility at start up
but my contacts did not transfer. have not been able to find the outlook
contacts file to manually transfer the contacts.
any ideas?

Outlook Express contacts are in a .WAB file.
Outlook Contacts are in the .pst file with the rest of the Calendar, e-mail,
etc.

Copy the WAB file to Vista then use import from there.

Outlook Contacts will need to be exported as a Comma Separated Values text
file if you don't have Outlook 2003/2007 installed on the Vista machine.

You mention both Outlook and Outlook Express so I'm including info on both.

thank you, the csv file worked.
