Windows Mail - cannot delete from sent or other folders

I cannot delete from Sent, Deleted folders. I get the 'Unknown error has
occurred' message and tried the
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090 fix but it says it
doesn't apply to my computer. (It IS a 32-bit Vista system).

More ideas please.

The KB fix doesn't apply if you have Vista's SP1 (or later) installed.

Make sure your antivirus is not configured to scan emails.

Try running the various repair functions in the WMUtil program:
http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil

If no improvement, upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
http://download.live.com/wlmail
