When you use the Backup and Restore Center to backup files, I think it will
back up your messages as well.

You can also use the Export feature in Windows Mail to export files to an
external medium as a backup.
 
Is there any way to backup the new windows mail??? Outlook express had
several programs which could be used to back up mail and address book.
appears there is nothing out there so far for the new windows mail. anyone
have any ideas???
 
Thanks...i have tried the general back in Vista andit works but if you need
to restore it wont restore specific e-mail messages. I was hoping there was a
porgram out there on the lines of the old outlook express bbackup which could
be used to back up and restore messages, addresses accounts etc.
Maybe someone will write one!

How about File | Export. That will work.
