Hello,

For some reason after reinstalling Windows XP Home, whenever I logon to my
user profile, my computer opens automatically. How can I stop this from
happening each and every timeÉ

what do you mean your computer opens, i think we might need more
information from you in order to try to help

oh now i see minus the first post, ok you are saying "my computer" open
automatically when u log onto your profile well make sure u are always
signed on to administrator, check your settings remember Guest have
limted access ,you need to try this right click on my computer icon ,
click properties, go into system propeties...click hardware, the click
hardware profile, then look in the profile box and see how many profiles
are in there, if there is one.under this option should say select the
first profile listed ,,,check that then under that make the secs to 0
and click apply then okay ..then reboot

My apologies. I meant "Windows Explorer" not "My Computer". Basically, I
start up my computer, login and immediately the "Windows Explorer" page opens
without me actually opening it. It is opening by itself to the folder tree.
How can this be fixed?
