Hi,
We are running Windows 2003 Server Sp1.
Due to problems with the server, I removed and then reinstalled 2003 Sp1. It
seemed to fix my problems, but created another one. When I logon to the
server. Even though I get the error message, I am still able to logon. The
error message I get is the following error message:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: c:\windows\system32\mpnotify.exe
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

For a test, I have removed mpnotify.exe and it re-creates itself. I have
installed the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library 2005 Beta 2 without
success. All the the windows updates have also been reinstalled. Any
thoughts?
Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure but I have a strong suspicion that this is associated
with Media Player. Disable all the autostart services related to Media
Player and see what happens. You can open Media Player and look in the
program options and disable auto update and all other auto options, give
it a good kick in the shins...
