When i first starting using Windows Xp we had three differnt user accounts. We still need and use these accounts but over the last 2 months it seems to take about 5 minutes for each account to load up no matter who logs on. I was wondering if anyone knew how to speed the log on up. I do have a friend who had a similar thing happened to them and they got rid of it by not having any accounts. I still need to have the 3 different accounts so wondered if anyone knew what i could do Thanks STrong

Log on to each account and use Start> Run> MSCONFIG
Take a look at the startup page to see what all is being loaded at startup
along with Windows. While XP is better at handling resources, you still
want to keep the startup group trimmed to only the applications that you
need and to a few that you want for convenience.

Also, if it's been a while, it wouldn't hurt to use Disk Cleanup and to run
the disk defragmenter.
