Merryterry

My Windows Live Messenger crashes every time the other party signs
off. I posted earlier and was told to delete programme and re-install
from Add/Remove Programs. I cannot seem to find the program there.
How do I delete and re-install?

Will it keep all my contacts etc?

     MerryT, If you dont have the latest version of WLM  then go below and
download and install.
       http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=d78f2ff1-79e...

      If you do have the latest version then go to C:\Program
Files\WindowsLive Messenger.  Open the folder and look for a
      Uninstall.exe file.  If there double click it and it will uninstall
the WLM.

Thanks for info but my version is WLM 2009 build 14.0.8064.206.

The one you seem to be pointing to seems an earlier version. Is it the
same?

I cannot find the uninstall.exe file you mention.

I have c/program files/windows live/messenger but no uninstall
file here.

Have you checked Start> (All)Programs, for Windows Live uninstall item?

Have you checked Start> (settings)Control Panel> Add/Remove programs?

Have checked both of those and no uninstall Windows Live there either.
