Hi there,

Since installing vista, sending and recieving files through windows live
messenger has been so slow!! And i mean VERY slow like dial up speed even
though im on 8Meg Broadband.

My downloads from websites etc are normal, but across messenger is dreadful!!

Any ideas why this is happening and how i can speed these up?

Any suggestions would be great,

Thanks!!

Welcome back, Andre. Take the time to read some of the threads. They are a
hoot.

Thanks Colin, great to be back, I had to catch up on some work at the
Office, so I didn't get a chance to check out whats new here immediately. I
am reading up. :)

Several posters here who desparately want to get XP back have commented that
they cannot find Vista in their ADD/Remove Programs. And so it goes. :)

Yes, that is priceless. :-)

Shhh. Andre, the folks here really got torqued when 5456 released to the
TBP and the folks here didn't get it. Tippy-toe about 'that other build'
stuff. ;)

Transfer speeds through msn messenger and now live messenger have always
been slow..at least myself, and everyone I have ever spoken to that have
tried xferring files through messenger agree

Not just Vista, but I've had really slow transfers even on XP machines on
the same LAN; at other times files seem to transfer as fast as the network
can handle...as far as I'm concerned, transfering files through Messenger
(MSN or Live) has always been a crapshoot.
