Is there a download associated with the program?

Sorry, I couldn't find a Live Mail newsgroup.

Never could find out what I was looking for.

There is no download. It is "Windows LIve Mail" on the internet.

The new layout is rather slow for dialup....I switched back to the classic
view for now.

It is just another pretty UI to same old tired webmail service
(Hotmail). Microsoft wanted to put an Outlook-ish interface on their
old webmail service. You still have to use a browser to access your
Hotmail, er, Windows Live Mail. There is no local client to provide for
local storage of your mails.
 
I mainly use Yahoo for most of my email purposes. Hotmail is absolutely the
worst email program that I have ever tried.
