Windows Live email and Vista crap

I have had so much trouble with windows live email that comes with vista!!
Now it has stopped receiving email altogether. I get a pop server error. I
can still send. I can get my email from my ISP webmail on IE. I am sure my
account is properly filled in. I am unable to use my cloud8 stationary on
windows live. I am unable to use my virus checker on windows live. Half the
time my mail goes to junk mail even tho I have added them to my contact list
and clicked not junk. Yes, I am registered here with my hotmail account but
cogeco is my ISP. Is there ANY way I can get outlook express instead of this
windows live? A lot of good it will do to notify me of replies since I can't
recieve email but I checked it anyway.
 
Windows Live Mail does not come with Vista. If you are using that, you
downloaded it and installed it or it came preinstalled on your computer. If
you want to use Windows Mail (which is OE somewhat modified but not trashed
as in WLM) then go to Control Panel | Default Programs and set Windows Mail
as the default and then use Windows Mail and not WLM. But antivirus
software also trashes Windows Mail often, so see point 3 here:

The only way you can use OE in Vista is to install Microsoft Virtual PC 2007
and then install an version of XP so that it runs as a virtual OS within
Vista. Then you can use OE.
