Windows Licensing

Can someone give me a quick overview of how licensing
works in a Windows 2000 Domain? My main AD/DC is coming up
with an error that I am over our licenses, but we have
purchased 250 per server licenses and we only have about
100 clients. When I look in the License Manager it seems
to be showing that I am using one per seat license for
Windows Server yet I have it set for "Per Server"??
Any Ideas??
You still purchase the "Per Server" Licenses for each
server in the domain and for the amount of client
connections that you will need for that server right?

It appeasr that when the server was set up it was set as
per seat and not per server as you originally thought. I
know you can chage it but as of yet I have not been
sucessful doing this without a reinstall....

The jury is still out on whether the License Logging Service in Win 2k works
or not. I would stop and disable it and keep track of the licenses manually
as if in per seat mode.
