I installed Windows XP Pro64. When I went on the internet after downloading
Internet Explorer 7 it took me to the update page. That was fine. It looked
over my computer and gave me a list of updates. I downloaded all of them and
they installed. Now, every time I go on the internet it takes me back to the
update page. After running it tells me there are no further updates- that I
have them all. It keeps doing that everytime I go on, even though I turned
off every update feature reminder, etc. How can I stop windows from doing
this?

I replied to your earlier post. To being with you are posting in the wrong
newsgroup. I gave some links to the appropriate newsgroups. If you can't
find your other post search for it using Google Groups Advanced Search;
search on your name in the newsgroup microsoft.public.windowsxp.general.
