Hi, we have installed SAP frontend using the Windows 2000
advertised program. We are using SMS and the installation
program is bundled in an MSI file.
After we installed the SAP frontend application, we
constantly are getting windows installer pop-up. If the
user does not cancel, the installer will try to install
SAP frontend again. Sometimes we get the pop up simply by
starting IE.
I found that I can use the "Windows Installer Clean Up"
program to remove the SAP frontend from the MSI database.
Then the pop up won't happen. However, our corporation
policy does not allow us to run this program and it's
almost impossible to run this on every machine.
Do you know any better workaround or simply delete
something in the registry? Any help is greatly appreciated
because we are kind of on the rope now.
Thanks,
Jonathan.
