I keep get a message that Windows Installer wants to
locate MSRedist. How can I stop this message from popping
up? What is MSRedist? How do I get a copy of MSRedist,
it is not on Windows 2000 disk? Thanks, Don

A quick guess is that you are trying to install an application package that
does not have all the modules needed. The re distribute reference is to a
supplementary package that should have been included or available from the
app supplier. It might be anything from a visual basic module, to a DX
module, or perhaps a C++ library.

Sounds like the same thing I have.... a virus. My computer does this
pretty much whenever I run a program. I've run Norton AntiVirus 2004
and after removing 1300+ viruses it says it'c clean, but it still does
it.

Have you solved the problem? Anybody else have any ideas?

Thanks

BTW, after removing all viruses I still had this. Updating to the
latest Service Pack fixed the problem.
