I have a compaq notebook with no internal cdrom and I want
to do a clean install of windows xp using my usb cdrom.
How can I acomplish this task? I have a floppy drive, will
the Setup Disks for Floppy Boot Install, enable my usb
cdrom to be recognized so I can install xp, or is there a
better way? Any suggestions will help, Thanks.

Depends if your motherboard is capable of booting from a USB device. If it is, there should be an option in the BIOS to boot from USB as there is to boot from CD.
