I purchased a Linux server. I formatted the drive
and installed Win2000Prof but now the modem, nci card
and sound card are not recognized. Has anyone done this
before? Is there a way to install the hardware without
documentation?
Thanks !!!

You need to be a bit clearer about what your problem is.

Has your Linux installation stopped working or are the devices simply
not detected in Windows 2000. If the later you probably just need to
locate and install drivers for the offending hardware.

Win2k contains drivers for many common devices...but it certainly does not
contain everything.
First you will have to positively identify the devices...
you may need to open the machine and actually get the mfg name and part #'s
from the modem, nic and soundcards

then you can probably get the win2k drivers from www.driverguide.com

Try this: enter BIOS setup, PnP page; find "clear configuration data" (the label can vary on different BIOSes).
Then fully power off the machine and reboot.
