Recently I had some work done on my computer to get rid of
some malware. After following the directions given to
remove the malware my computer began having problems with
Windows XP and MS Office 2000. I don't notice it when I go
online, but I can't open or save attachments and
frequently get the Windows Install icon popping up
followed by a message that reads either 'expected version
of MS office not detected' or a message that says I need a
disk to perform the desired function (whatever it may be
at the time) "office 2000 SR-1 Premium Setup" I have also
gotten a message intidating I need to install the program
from its origin (or something like that) and it says I
don't have the proper patch?? Help, please. Thanks

Take the Media for Office 2000, Insert its CD, Re-Install Office 2000.
Patch it by then visiting :

http://office.microsoft.com/

Good Luck.
