Hi, I have multiple Excel worksheets open and I like to ALT+TAB between
them. This was all fine until recently when it no longer shows the workbooks
in the taskbar.

The option "Windows in Taskbar" is checked. I've tried unchecking it,
closing Excel, re starting Excel and selecting the option again, but it does
nothing.

I'm using Excel with Office 2003. I checked MS Word 2003 and this works fine
with the multiple documents in the task bar, only Excel is behaving strange.

Can anyone help?

Regards,
Paul.

Still no go, as I'm using Excel 2003

Do you or anyone else know of registry settings for this? It is strange that
it is only Excel and not any of the other apps in Office 2003. :(

Regards,
Paul.

Paul,

It never hurts to re-register Excel. Start - Run Excel /regserver. Then
start Excel normally and see what gives.

Paul,

Just to make sure.
<ALT>+<TAB> has (as far as I know, using XL XP on Win XP) nothing to do
with the windows on the taskbar.
I haven't set that windows option ( 1 Excel on the taskbar is enough for
me), but I'm using ALT + TAB very often.

Hi Auk, this is what I use ALT+TAB all the time, but there is still only the
one Excel icon in ALT-TAB and also in the taskbar.

This must be a registry setting, but I can't seem to find it.

Hi Dave, this isn't the case as I'm using Windows XP SP1
and Office 2003 :(

Word 2003 works fine with multiple sheets.

Any other suggestions?

I don't use winXP or Office2003. But there was a bug in xl2k that made xl
forget that setting with shared workbooks. It was fixed in xl2002.

If the workbook is shared, maybe the bug is back? (I wouldn't guess that this
is the problem, though. I don't recall seeing any posts describing this in
xl2003.)

I don't have a guess. Maybe someone else can jump in.

Sorry.
