seems that now every time i restart or turn off my computer, the ICS
(internet connection shareing) doesnt auto start with windows. If I go to
check firewall after starting PC it say it cant open it and I need to start
the ICS servies first, I would like to have it auto start with windows
again.

I have windows xp pro SP2 with all updates.

What firewall are you running?

If you are connected to Broadband Internet, get a Cable/DSL Router such as the Linksys
BEFSR41.

It, not the PC, will allow up to 253 computers to share one Internet (WAN) address. It will
also act as a simplistic FireWall or you can get a Router that has a full FireWall built-in.
There are many other benefits as well. Such as having a PPPoE client if you have DSL that
uses PPPoE. Or having a four port 10/100Mb/s Ethernet switch.

As always, I suggest blocking both TCP and UDP ports 135 ~ 139 and 445 on any SOHO Router.
