S Smile Extender Nov 29, 2003 #2 Legal Microsoft hotfix programs are usuallu named like Q123456.EXE or Q298012_W2K_SP3_x86_en.EXE. If you right click those files from explorer and select Properties, there is Digital Signature tab which tells that they are from Microsoft.
