Hi ~ not sure if this is Netware(ZFD) or a Microsoft issue. I am posting to
both. I support a LAN/WAN for a public school district and our computer lab
desktops are locked down pretty tight using ZFD 4.0. However, students can
still access the "Printers and Faxes" folder, allowing them free reign over
the local hard drive (and possibly network drives). I have tried, till I am
blue in the face, to disable that option but to no avail (short of disabling
the "Start" button. Didn't want to go to that extreme). Does anyone know
how to disable this folder from the "Start" button?

Thanks

If you are running XP Pro/2000 Pro, you can look in the GPEDIT tool for a
solution.

Start>Run>gpedit.msc

However, My school has a Novell Network (Version 5 or 6) and there are still
SO many ways around it. Of course, that is on Win 2000, but there still a
gazillion ways to get around it, one of which is Creating a new shortcut on
the Desktop leading to the C drive. They still have it locked down tight,
but there are by-passes. No network is completely secure.
