Windows Genuine Advantage firewall alert

Recently Microsoft included the Windows Genuine Advantage program in the
routine
PC updates for WinXPSP2 PCs.

Now I and a number of my clients (all elderly and very wary of anything
untoward happening with their PCs) get a firewall alert on boot up for:
Windows Genuine Advantage
Application: wgatray.exe
Destination IP: 0.0.0.0:DNS

Can you please explain this behaviour and how I should best advise my
clients on responding to this alert?

It's the nice WGA notification tool that is trying to contact MS to see
if your copy of XP is legit or not.

You might try reading this about it:
'Windows Genuine Advantage' (http://tinyurl.com/rlzm9)
It phone home after boot, MS says it will cut this down to every 1
days in the future.
I already had MS verify that my copy of XP Pro was legit. It's too ba
that MS would push this off on folks.
Another black eye!
Best,
