I ahve set my windows firewall on - and when I shut down my computer and
relog in the firewall is off and my computer has been entered by a remote
user - I can tell because my settings have changed. I go back in and change
them again to no exceptions - firewall on - and the same thing happens. How
can I keep someone accessing my computer when it is off? Does it help if I
leave it on all the time?

Thanks

I don't suppose the Internet Connection Sharing / Windows Firewall service
is set to "Manual" start, by chance? Right-click My Computer, pick manage,
click on Services. Change it to Automatic if it's set to Manual.

I have exactly the same problem, even when I just suspend the laptop. I have
checked the service and its set to automatic

so I did go into my computer and right clicked and all of the services that
were set to manual I reset to automatic - do you think that will stop it?

No one can access/enter your computer when it is turned off. Can you watch
your T.V. when it is turned off? Of course not! Same thing!
