I am faced with the problem of an automatic shut down in Windows Firewall. It
must be mannually restarted. I can not determine what causes the shut down or
why.

Hello !

You either have a (let's say) legitimate software which is silently
disabling it to prevent conflicts *such as another firewall) or the other
possibility is that you have a security threat on your computer
(trojan/spyware/riskware) .

I would immediately check my computer for malicious code . You yourself can
use various programs such as Spybot Search and Destroy , very good antivirus
is NOD32 . You can also perform check with the online scanners of Ewido or
Panda.

Use Google to find NOD32 trial version , Spybot Search and Destroy , Ewido
online scan , Panda NanoScan or Panda TotalScan .

If this doesn't help , post here one more time . Your computer might need
further work with :-)
