I've been unable to start the service for the windows firewall. When I try
to start it in the services pane, I get an "Error 1068: The dependency
service or group failed to start." message. I traced the dependencies, and
found the Base Filtering System, which seems to be in charge of IP
filtering. When I tried to start this service, I get another error message:
"Error 31: A device attached to the system is not functioning." Any help
would be appreciated
