Windows firewall problem

After running the Microsoft anti-spyware software and
removing spyware, I restarted the computer then Windows
Firewall will no longer load up and a display box
saying "windows firewall cannot displayed because the
associated service is not running" is shown....what is
going on? I tried the anti-spyware software on my
friends computer and it has done EXACTLY the same thing.

Please help me and tell me how to get windows firewall
back, thanks in advance.
 
I had exactly the same problem. I also received a
message stating that newdotnet was unable to load (it was
labeled as spyware and removed). The only way I got the
firewall back was to do a system restore. Hope you took
a checkpoint before the load.

Microsoft is well aware of the awkwardness of this situation, and we may see
changes to how this works in a later beta release or the final product.
