FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.txt

I was reading the HELP section of MS AntiSpyware under
the title"How to help fight spyware" and then the sub-
title "using the spynet antispyware community with a
firewall' and when you click on that, its under "running
with the windows firewall in microsoft windows xp service
pack 2". please get back to me and thank you.

I found my answer in geocities.com. It only applies to
those who have a third party firewall which is not me.
Thank you for making me go further for answers.

Thanks! I'm a little mystified by that portion of the help--although there
is a mechanism to name applications which listen for unsolicited Internet
traffic, I have not noticed that Microsoft Antispyware needs these settings
made.

If you go to help and support and search on this term:

Allowing a program to communicate through Windows Firewall

You should see the help on "To add a program to the exceptions list" which
would be the way to do what that help file states is needed.
